Společnost IBM oznámila, že byla uskutečněna již dvoutisící instalace sady podnikových řešení mySAP Business Suite na platformě IBM eServer iSeries. Jubilejním zákazníkem je Esquire, přední distributor špičkových módních značek jako Guy Laroche a Jordache.
Počet instalací řešení SAP na serverech iSeries se za poslední tři roky zdvojnásobil z jednoho tisíce na dva, což svědčí o rychlém prosazování podnikových aplikací SAP na serverech IBM eServer iSeries.
Jihokorejská společnost Esquire provozuje aplikace sady mySAP Business Suite na serverech IBM eServer iSeries Model 825 a 870. Tato implementace podporuje 600 uživatelů v maloobchodních provozech společnosti. Během své více než čtyřicetileté historie se společnost Esquire rozrostla na několik poboček. Servery iSeries s funkcemi kapacity podle potřeby „on-demand“ jí umožňují zvládat rostoucí obchodní potřeby.

IBM Achieves the 2000th SAP® Solution-Based Installation on the IBM eServer iSeries Platform
Armonk, NY, June 25, 2004 . . . IBM announced today the 2000th customer installation of the mySAP™ Business Suite family of business solutions on the IBM eServer iSeries platform with Esquire, a leading fashion distributor with high end brands such as Guy Laroche and Jordache.
In the last three years, the number of SAP® solution-based installations on the iSeries server has doubled from 1,000 to 2,000 installations, signaling a rapid adoption by customers of SAP’s enterprise business applications on IBM iSeries servers.
Esquire, based in South Korea, is using the IBM eServer iSeries Model i825 and i870 to power its implementation of mySAP Business Suite to support 600 users for its retail and point of sales operations. In the forty plus years that Esquire has been in business, the company has grown to include multiple locations. The combination of iSeries servers with the capacity on demand features offer Esquire the ability to meet its growing business needs.

Another customer, Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc. one of the world’s largest hotel and leisure companies, recently upgraded to the iSeries Model 890 to power its SAP financials application. The iSeries platform serves as the backbone of most its backoffice operations including general ledger, payroll, and sales and distribution. With the new system, Starwood can provide payroll services for over 50,000 employees, yet close its hotel books in less than two days. In addition, from a single location, Starwood can provide its local hotel managers across North America with budget and forecasting, including room occupancy and average rates to help them better manage individual properties.
