Pomocí emailu, ale i přes peer to peer sít Kazaa či pomocí Internet Relay Chat, se začal šířit nový červ Win32/Swen.A (Win32/Gibe.E). V emailech tento vir falšuje hlavičku tak, aby email vypadal jako zpráva zaslaná ze společnosti Microsoft, a vyzývá k nainstalování přílohy, o které tvrdí, že jde o bezpečnostní záplatu.
V těle zprávy červa můžete najít text:
