Well, there is still investigation going on but this is: "they were using 2 of 3 multi-sig, one key with bitgo, one with finex, one with the customer. Finex key was compromised somehow and then the attacker somehow convinced bitgo to sign the transactions. I dont know but sound like inside job to get the finex key. edit - The customer didnt actually have a key, Bitfinex controlled 1 key, Bitgo controlled 1 key, and Bitfinex had the 3rd key in cold storage++++++++
hlavne nevim proc lidi ukladaj svoje BTC u nekoho jineho nez ve sve penezence u sebe (treba pres Electrum, zasifrovane, na trech ruznych mistech - 3 usb klicenkach ve trech geograficky ruznych lokalitach - pokud tam mam hodne penez, jednu klicenku bych urcite uschoval v sejfu co se pronajimaji napr. http://www.24safe.cz/... xxx https://www.praguesafedeposit.com/... apod. s pojistenim pro pripad ztraty, hesla radeji sdelit nejakemu cloveku kteremu mohu duverovat pro pripad napr. urazu hlavy ztraty pameti, demence ... nebo opet ulozit do bankovniho sejfu apod... v papirove podobe)
